The 2004 Bridgeton Mid-Air Collision, also known as the 2004 Bridgeton Disaster, was a mid-air collision that happened on September 3, 2004. The planes were domestic Purinpu Dream Airlines and domestic Roblox Express flights, namely Purinpu Dream Airlines Flight 522 and Roblox Express Flight 142 were that were flying in the northwestern Robloxian continent. In 9:53 AM, the two planes, a Robus R220 and a de Havilland Bloxanada DCH-8 (referred to a Dash 8) collided in midair in Bridgeton, injuring 5 people in the Robus A220. The plane, without a left wing, then entered a deep stall and crashed into the Vali River in the outskirts of Bridgeton. However, the Robus A220 survived, with only 2 landing gears and one engine, and later, managed to land.

Background[]

Roblox Express Flight 142[]

Roblox Express Flight 142 was a domestic Roblox Express flight. Roblox Express is a regional brand of Roblox Airlines, with a fleet of 23 planes. One of them was Roblox Express Flight 142, an de Haviland Bloxanada DCH-8. The plane had 16 crew members. The captain was Malcom Sunny A. Jones. The first officer was John A. Jekkel.

Plane Crash[]

The two planes were at Jez Charlotte International Airport for a long time. The next day, September 3, 2004, the de Haviland Bloxanada DCH-8 left the airport in Runway 4R for Bloxburg Airport, with 20 occupants in 9:25 AM. About 6 minutes later, Purinpu Dream Airlines Flight 522 left for the same runway, bound for Ro-Narita International Airport in Ro-Japan with a stopover at Meep City International Airport for need of jet fuel for the long trip.

In 9:51 AM, the two planes met each other in Bridgeton. The two planes kept closing on each other. Captain Jones tried to let the aircraft get off the Robus R220, but the controls were no use. He used the throttle to push the plane left. This led to the plane only letting its right wing scrape the Robus R220's left wing. Before it could scrape, the Robus R220 raised its left wing, but the force of gravity from the de Havilland Bloxanada DCH-8 pulled the R220. In anger, Captain George Lincoln then pulled the telephone to call Flight 142 and said a swear word (that was the only word in the call) before hanging up. Later, the right wing collided with the left wing, with the plane twisting 50° counterclockwise and Flight 142 twisting 80° clockwise. The plane then collided with the other plane with the left end of the wing hitting the aileron. Flight 142 continued on scrapping through the wing before the left slats and breaking the spoiler. The Robus R220 then raised 15 flaps on the plane and began its descent while moving to the right. However, the scraping caused the right engine to catch on fire and pieces began to break. However, the plane still survived. The de Havilland Bloxanada DCH-8, however, was not lucky. The scrapping had the plane's left wing be pulled and separated. The left wing crashed into a house in Bridgeton, flipped upside down. Flight 522 escaped the collision zone and began its descent. The plane turned around to Bloxburg Airport, 37 kilometers off. Flight 142 then entered a deep stall and flipped upside down like the left wing. Captain Jones managed to turn the plane upright but without a plane wing, it was descending 150mph. The plane continued falling before the Vali River. The plane then turned upside down once again and began nearing the Vali River. The plane swooped up due to a downdraft but continued falling. The plane then slammed into the Vali River tail-first, and flipped upright before making a large explosion, breaking the plane into two pieces. Purinpu Dream Airlines Flight 522, from the detachment of the aft spoiler, three flaps, and one engine, entered a deep dive. The plane then started flying at 150mph per hour, now leaving the outskirts of Bridgeton. The plane then called the transponder and tuned it to 7700, the squawk number for emergencies. For six minutes, George Lincoln then talked about the plane collision and where the plane could land. ATC in Bloxburg Airport told Flight 522 that there is an airbase near its airport, which was only 23 kilometers away. However, since it was too far, George Lincoln continued the flight. Later, they started arguing where to land. Just as the call was about to finish, the engine exploded for a second time and caught on fire. The right engine lost power and the plane began to descend to 7,000 feet. The plane managed to pitch up and jump for 14,000 feet before descending to 11,000 feet. The right engine then turned on. As the plane continued descending, they noticed a large road with a building; this was Bloxburg Airport. Later, the plane began descending for landing. However, it was so low after that. It managed to run over the perimeter fence of the airport but never suffered from further damage until it touched the ground. The left destroyed engine was sent back for repairs.
