Robloxia Airlines Flight 263 (RAF263) was a regularly scheduled domestic flight from Easton International Airport to Yellowbrick Airport, in the country of Robloxia. On September 17, 2024, the Roing 767-200ER started to suffer from severe turbulence caused by strong winds from a major tropical storm in the middle of its trip, before breaking up as the plane was going down and mostly crashed into a village nearby, just twenty-six minutes later.
At the time of the accident, the aircraft was holding about 310 Robloxians in total; 294 of them being passengers and the rest were crew members, including the two pilots and eventually killed all of them, alongside forty-six Robloxians on the ground below.
It is the fourth-deadliest single-aircraft incident in history and the first major crash to occur since the mid-1990s.
Aircraft and crew members[]
The accident aircraft, known as RAF263 was a Roing 767-200ER that was bought and took its first flight at Coeptus International Airport in Bloxburg as a part of the Robloxia Airlines company, during the late-1980s.
Early stages of production on the flight and planning began in 1983 and was eventually finished by the end of 1987; at first, it was originally gonna have the name of "RAP253", but was soon changed to its most recent title. The inside of the plane was set to hold about 150 passengers in their seats, while an estimated 10 crew members would work there, mostly as food waiters if they wanted to do so.
The two pilots was named Mark. V. K and George. G. D, who both were born exactly the same date in 1935 and 1943 respectively and died on September 17, 2024, due to the fatal crash. One of many notable people on the flight was Alex Johnson, a popular Bloxtuber, having around 2 million subscribers; after his death, he gained an additional 500,000.
By the time when the accident occurred, the aircraft had already completed 21,464 flights with 136,464 full hours of operation and was mainly powered by two engines only. According to Robloxia Airlines, it was heavily stated that the Roing 767-200ER was about to get two more engines near its tails, which would have been done had the plane was not damaged beyond repair all the way to 2025.
During its lifespan, it suffered through four accidents; one of them being severe. The first of which happened in 1997, when the pilots made a hard landing on the runway, resulting in 20+ Robloxians to get injured and damaging the plane. The rest were due to errors and turbulences, which also damaged the plane. Fortunately, all those damages done to the plane were repairable.
On the day of the accident, the plane was traveling from Easton International Airport to Yellowbrick Airport, without any stopover on its way there.
